At a very young age I idolized Jacques Cousteau and knew I wanted a career that involved Scuba diving. Well, I never got to work on the Calypso, but I did become a PADI Scuba Instructor. I love to Fresh and Saltwater fish as much as I have a passion for Scuba diving and taking underwater pictures. I became certified as a PADI diver at the age of 15 in Houston, Texas where I grew up.
I worked as a Manager of Sea Sports Scuba in Houston for seven years. I was privileged enough to have lead group trips to many dive destinations. In 1996, I moved to Austin and started working at Scubaland Adventures. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to 25 different dive destinations ,some of which include; Papua New Guinea, Fiji ,Palau, Rea Sea ,Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Sipadan (Malaysia),Cayman Islands and Cozumel to name a few!
As a Scuba Instructor I love to see a new diver’s reaction as they become excited about the new experience. As a trip leader I love to turn people on to new dive destinations and share great memories above and below the water. In the process of running many group trips I have learned to anticipate customer needs. I am a good problem solver and make our customers my # 1 priority on the trip. I consider myself easy going and very enthusiastic about my love and passion for life and scuba diving.
In my 51 years of life, I have learned that the really important things in life are the memories that we share with family and friends.
