How badly do you want to be in the water with Killer Whales?! Bad enough to travel to Norway? Bad enough to get in 34F water? Well, if you answered yes to both of those questions then this is the trip for you!
Each January and February, the killer whales migrate along the Norwegian coast in search of herring. We will traverse the fjords and bays from Rorvik to Kristiansund looking for killer whales to swim with! Once we find them, we board the chase boats and attempt to encounter them in the water!
Our main focus will be on the killer whales. But, we may also see other whales and we will try to swim with them, too! We do not discriminate when it comes to swimming with whales.
After the sunsets at 4pm, we will have an opportunity to dive the pristine rocky reefs covered in coldwater corals and sponges and supporting an amazing diversity of invertebrate life and fishes!
Does this sound like an April Fool's joke? It's not! We are really doing this. Mike and Vickie will lead the adventure. We will also head over to Sweden and stay at the Ice Hotel and enjoy the Aurora Borealis by dog sled, reindeer sled and snowmobile!
