Socorro Island is known for big animals, large animals and animals of big size!!
We are going in January so we can expect to see dolphins, humpback whales, tuna, hammerheads, up to five other species of sharks and, of course, the famed giant Pacific mantas! These Friendly Giants measure up to 21 feet across (holy cow!) and are known for their intimate interaction with divers!
The great thing about Socorro is that no two dives are alike! Whether it's a game of acrobatics with a dolphin, hovering in awe as a humpback whale swims past or simply being mesmerized by the 3 or 4 giant Pacific mantas circling you – you are sure to have an unforgettable experience that has made Socorro a Bucket List Favorite!
We are diving aboard the Nautilus Explorer. The boat goes in and out of Cabo San Lucas – so come early or stay late and enjoy a few days in the sunshine (and out of the Cedar pollen).
